As June comes to an end, many of us are making the most of the longer days, warmer weather, and spending more time outdoors. Whether you're gardening, walking along Plymouth's beautiful waterfront, tackling DIY projects, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, it's important to remember that these seasonal activities can sometimes place extra strain on your back and joints.

As a McTimoney chiropractor at my Back To Normal Chiropractic Clinic. I have over 30 years of experience.

I often see an increase in aches and pains at this time of year. After a long winter and spring, it's easy to do too much too soon. Gardening for hours without a break, lifting heavy pots, or spending weekends decorating can all lead to stiffness, muscle tension, and back discomfort.

A few simple tips can help keep you moving comfortably:

  • Take regular breaks when gardening or doing DIY.

  • Bend your knees rather than your back when lifting.

  • Stay well hydrated, especially during warmer weather.

  • Gentle stretching before and after physical activity can help reduce stiffness.

McTimoney chiropractic is a gentle and precise technique that aims to improve joint mobility, reduce tension, and support your body's natural movement. Many patients find that regular chiropractic care helps them stay active and enjoy the activities they love throughout the summer months.
