As September draws to a close, the days are getting shorter and the cooler weather is starting to arrive. It’s a good time to think about how we look after our bodies as we head into autumn.

With routines changing, some people find they become less active and spend more time sitting indoors. This can sometimes lead to stiffness, particularly in the neck, shoulders and lower back.

Simple things can make a difference — try to get up and move regularly if you have a desk-based job, keep active with gentle walking or exercise, and pay attention to your posture when using phones, laptops or watching television.

If you’ve noticed increasing stiffness, aches or restricted movement, don't ignore it. Addressing problems early can often help prevent them from becoming more troublesome.

At Back to Normal Chiropractic Clinic, I’m here to help you keep moving comfortably throughout the autumn months.
