Staying Comfortable and Mobile During Plymouth’s August Heatwave

It certainly feels like summer has arrived in Plymouth! With temperatures soaring and another spell of hot weather affecting the South West, it’s important to look after yourself while still keeping your body moving.

Hot weather can leave us feeling tired, dehydrated and less energetic than usual. We may also spend more time sitting indoors, travelling by car, or changing our usual routines. For some people, this can contribute to increased stiffness and aches, particularly in the back, neck and shoulders.

At my Back To Normal Chiropractic Clinic in Plymouth, I often encourage my patients to keep things simple during hot weather. Drink plenty of water, take regular breaks from sitting, avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day and listen to your body. Gentle movement and stretching can help prevent you from becoming too stiff.

If you are finding that back, neck or joint discomfort is affecting your everyday life, gentle McTimoney chiropractic care may help you move more comfortably.

At my clinic I provide friendly, personal one-to-one care in a relaxed environment, with treatment tailored to you and your individual needs.

So, while you're enjoying the sunshine this August, remember to stay hydrated, keep moving gently and take care of your body.

If you're feeling stiff, uncomfortable or simply not moving as freely as you'd like, get in touch to arrange an appointment.
