Staying Comfortable During the Heatwave – A Chiropractic Perspective

With the warm weather we're enjoying this July, many people are making the most of the sunshine. While it's great to get outside, a heatwave can also leave you feeling tired, dehydrated, and achy.
Hot weather can cause muscles to fatigue more quickly, and dehydration may increase muscle cramps and stiffness. If you're gardening, walking, or spending longer than usual outdoors, remember to:
Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Take regular breaks in the shade.
Avoid lifting heavy objects during the hottest part of the day.
Stretch gently before and after activities.
If you're already living with back pain, neck pain, or joint stiffness, the change in routine and extra physical activity can sometimes aggravate existing problems.
At Back To Normal Chiropractic Clinic, Plymouth, I provide gentle McTimoney chiropractic care tailored to each individual. Whether you're experiencing a flare-up of back pain, neck discomfort, or simply feeling stiff after enjoying the summer weather, chiropractic treatment may help improve joint function and support your body's natural movement.
Whatever you're doing this summer, stay safe, keep hydrated, and look after your spine as well as your skin!
